Hour of Code

Discovering Coding at Ramona STEM Academy

At Ramona STEM Academy, all kindergarten to 5th grade students engaged in an exciting event called Hour of Code. This initiative aimed to introduce young learners to the world of coding, a vital skill in today's technology-driven society. During this event, students explored coding through various online platforms and hands-on activities using Ozobots, which are small robots that follow color-coded paths. By learning to program these robots with simple color codes, students developed problem-solving skills and creativity while having fun. Hour of Code not only sparked interest in computer science but also empowered students to see themselves as future innovators in the digital age.
